In the early stages of V Rising, your primary focus should be on gathering basic resources so that you can craft better equipment and build a basic castle. Some examples of these materials are wood and planks; stone; blood essence; and animal hide. With each level of advancement, you’ll find yourself needing new and unique materials that you may have never seen or heard of before. Copper is one of the most important resources you’ll need.
From stone, copper is the next logical step. It teaches players how to make much more powerful weapons, including the spear, which is the best weapon for dealing with monsters. The spear makes it easier to take down bosses. For all copper weapons except the spear, the secondary attack deals more damage than the simple left-click attack. In V Rising, you’ll want to get your hands on copper as soon as possible.
How to Get Copper in V Rising?
Early on in V Rising, copper is one of the most valuable resources you’ll come across. There are a variety of important structures and upgrades that can be made using it after bone tools have been exhausted.
The orange-colored rocks that dot V Rising’s landscape are a good source of copper. To get the most Copper in a short period of time, you should visit the Copper Mine in Farbane Woods. You can see where it is by checking out the map below.
There are many orange rocks in this Copper Mine from which you can extract copper ore. It is not uncommon to find chests containing various items, including copper, scattered throughout the mine.
Because copper rocks regrow over time, they are a renewably sourced resource. Continue to break them down until you have enough Copper to meet your requirements by going back and breaking them down again.
How to Mine Copper?
A Reinforced Bone Mace is required to mine Copper. In order to break down Copper rocks, you’ll need something more powerful than an ordinary Bone Mace.
Make a Simple Workbench first before making the Reinforced Bone Mace. If you don’t know how to get wooden planks for either the Simple Workbench or the Reinforced Bone Mace, check out our guide on how to use the Sawmill in V Rising.
Even with your Reinforced Bone Mace, you won’t be able to break up any particularly large boulders of Copper. You’ll need explosives to break through the large boulders, which you can make using Sulfur at an Alchemy Table.
How to Smelt Copper Ore into Copper Ingots
Furnaces are required to smelt Copper Ore, which can be found near the Castle Heart. While it takes 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore to make, the Furnace can automatically refine Copper Ore into refined Copper Ingots over time, which can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
You’ll need a lot of Copper Ore to build up a stockpile of Copper Ingots, so be aware of this before you start mining. Copper Ore is required for 20 ingots. So if you want to speed things up, we’d advise you to visit Copper Mines.
