How to Get Scrolls in V Rising

Players can craft V Rising Scrolls either by hunting specific bandits or by constructing a Paper Press and filling it with rare ingredients. Scrolls can be used to research new schematics, blueprints, and crafting recipes, usually of a higher level than those you’ve been getting from Paper and the Research Desk. There are several ways to obtain Scrolls in V Rising, including farming them. We’ll go over each one in more detail below. But make sure to check out the weapons tier list before doing this.

In addition to finding V Rising scrolls on certain human enemies, players can also farm them using a Paper Press in their Castle – an expensive but efficient process that works well for high-level players.

You can craft Scrolls quickly at home if you have all the necessary components and machinery, but getting your hands on those crafting materials isn’t easy, and it’s much cheaper to go out and kill bandits until they drop them.

We’ll go over both processes in greater detail below, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each one.

Method 1: Finding Scrolls on Mobs and Enemies

As far as we know, scrolls are a valuable resource material that is only found as a drop by human enemies. In the Dunley Farmlands, we’ve heard that they drop at a higher rate than in the Farbane Woods, but we haven’t confirmed this.

If you’re a Vampire in need of paperwork, the best thing you can do is look at the V Rising map and see where all the important places are around you. You’ll be able to tell which items you’ve found by looking at the labels on them. This includes scrolls. These areas should be quickly cleared by killing all of the enemies and destroying every crate, barrel or container in them, as each of these has a chance to contain an item that can be used to obtain a scroll.

Move on to the next camp and repeat the bloody process until you’ve cleared all the camps, filled your inventory, or need to rest at your Castle. With these kinds of raids, you can get a lot more resources than just scrolls, which is why this method isn’t as precise as others.

Method 1: Crafting and Farming Scrolls with a Paper Press

How to Get Scrolls in V Rising

To make your own scrolls, you’ll need a piece of equipment called the Paper Press, which you can learn more about in our guide on V Rising Paper. Paper can also be used to make scrolls, if you have the right ingredients and resources at your disposal. These are the specific ingredients and resources you’ll need:

  • 12x Gem Dust
  • 4x Paper

In order to obtain Paper, refer to the instructions in the previous section. It is possible to obtain Gem Dust in a variety of ways, but you should head out to the local quarry and bash anything sedimentary until you have enough. As an alternative, you can create a Devourer and use any valuable jewels in it to create Gem Dust. This method is more expensive, but it works. When comparing this to other types of V Rising Stone Dust, such as the one produced by grinding stone bricks in a Grinder or the V Rising Grave Dust produced by pulverizing specific undead, it’s important to keep these two types of dust distinct. This game has a lot of dust.

Aside from being able to get new recipes from scrolls, their primary use is to return them to the Study and gain access to powerful V Rising Merciless weapons and gear. In and of itself, it’s worthwhile, but there’s much more to unlock for both your loadout and Castle.

Well, that’s all we have here about how players can get Scrolls in V Rising. We hope this guide helped you. If you liked this, make sure to check out whether V Rising will come to consoles and how you can get leather.
