Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

When playing any RPG, you always need to make sure that you have the best or legendary weapons that can make your journey a bit easier. The same goes for Horizon Forbidden West. When you get a hold of the Horizon Forbidden West best weapons, can confirm your victory, at least up to some extent. With that being said, here are the 5 best weapons you can unlock and use in Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

5 Best Weapons in Horizon Forbidden West

The best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West are all legendary category weapons. Therefore, you need to do a lot of groundwork before you can acquire them. It is also worth noting that while some of the Legendary Weapons in the game are slightly more powerful than others, there is still exactly one Legendary Weapon for every weapon type in the game except the Ropecaster. The Hunter Bow, on the other hand, offers two types of legendary weapons. So it really is up to you and how you like to play the game.

1. The Blast Forge

Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

Amazing as it may be, the legendary Boltblaster is like bringing a machine gun to a machine fight. With its ability to fire bolts that can pierce armor, it can inflict devastating damage. It’s important to note that using Blast Forge intelligently is essential if you want to maximize its potential.

The machine can be frozen, and then the Blast Forge mode can be switched on to unleash hell on its health meter. When it’s finished being upgraded, you’ll see that health bar fall faster than you ever thought possible.

You can buy this weapon with medals you earn in the Maw of the Arena. Once again, 80 medals can be exchanged for Blast Forge if you travel to the merchant just to the southwest of Scalding Spear. With all this, The Blast Forge is undoubtedly one of the best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West.

2. The Skykiller

Skykiller is fantastic if you enjoy using Spike Throwers. However, you will need to finish the bulk of the main story before you can use it. Skykiller, however, makes short work of even the largest of machines. Especially when paired with the Powershots Valor Boost and the Splitting Spike Weapon Technique. More damage will be done, and you may save some ammunition in the process.

If you want Skykiller, you’ll have to finish The Way Home first. Visit Legacy’s Landfall and speak with the boatwoman there. You’ll have to go through some rough patches, but in the end, it will be well worth it. The Skykiller is certainly one of the best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West

3. The Sun Scourge

Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

With the right arrows and the right hits, the Sun Scourge, a legendary Hunter Bow, can really do some damage. You’ll need some severe arrows if you want this bow to live up to its legendary reputation, but it’s already powerful enough to do impressive damage to smaller and medium machines. The Advanced Acid Hunter Arrows are the most effective against the Sun Scourge, but they require volatile sludge, which can be hard to come by. It’s also not the quickest weapon in the world, which is something to keep in mind.

To obtain this weapon, you must complete the First Forge quest by eliminating all rebel strongholds. This legendary weapon will become available once the final quest has been completed.

4. Death Seeker’s Shadow

Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

The second available legendary Hunter Bow is the Death Seeker’s Shadow. It’s arguably better than the Sun Sourge and is incredibly powerful, even with normal arrows. However, it’s also capable of using targeting arrows, something that allows you to guide an overridden machine towards a target you want it to attack. Don’t worry; it doesn’t work on your mount.

Head to combat arenas or hunting grounds if you want to get this bow. You’ll need to buy it with 80 medals at The Maw of the Arena. It might take a little bit of time and grinding before you get hold of the Death Seeker’s Shadow, but it’s definitely worth it.

5. Forgefall

Horizon Forbidden West: Best Weapons

The Sharpshot Bow serves primarily as a sniper weapon. Even with the more affordable regular arrows, the Forgefall’s shots are painfully slow but incredibly effective. However, the tide of battle can be turned with the help of some high-tech plasma arrows, which are, unfortunately, quite pricey. While Forgefall isn’t ideal for everyone, long-range damage dealers will find it to be well worth the investment.

Forgefall can be purchased from the Maw of the Arena, much like Death Seeker’s Shadow. You can get there by spending 54 medals and heading southwest of Scalding Spear.
