Virizion Weaknesses in Pokémon Go

Virizion is a dual-type Grass/Fighting Pokémon, making it vulnerable to Fairy, Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, and Psychic attacks. Flying-types have a double weakness, so you should try to use them.

When going into battle, it’s also important to know Virizion’s strengths and weaknesses. Dark, Electric, Grass, Ground, Rock, and Water-type Pokémon should be avoided if at all possible.

Virizion can be defeated by any strong Flying-type with matching movesets, but the counters listed in the table above are the best of the best.

Virizion Moveset in Pokémon Go

Virizion has two potential Fast Moves and three potential Charged Moves as a Raid Boss, which we’ve listed below:

  • Quick Attack (Normal)
  • Zen Headbutt (Psychic)
  • Lead Blade (Grass)
  • Close Combat (Fighting)
  • Stone Edge (Rock)

The Charged Move Stone Edge is the only move you should be concerned about here, as all of Virizion’s best Flying-type counters are vulnerable to Rock-type moves.

When fighting Virizion in Raid Battles, if it has Stone Edge in its move pool, it’s best to focus on strong Psychic-types like Mewtwo or Hoopa instead.

How to Catch Virizion in Pokémon Go

In Pokémon Go, you must first defeat Virizion in a 5-Star Raid Battle before catching it. You’ll be given a limited number of Premier Balls to try to catch it if you’re successful.

Along with Cobalion and Terrakion, Virizion will appear in 5-Star Raids from November 5, 2021, at 10 AM, until November 16, 2021, at 10 AM local time, giving you almost two weeks.

Can Virizion be Shiny in Pokémon Go?

The good news is that Shiny Virizion can be found in Pokémon Go right now. This uncommon variant first appeared in May 2020 and is still available in the game’s 5-Star Raid Battles.

Be prepared for a long search if you’re looking for a Shiny Virizion. There’s no way to improve your chances; you’ll just have to fight as many Virizion as you can until you come across one.

Well, that’s all we have for you about Virizion in Pokémon Go. We hope this guide helped you.
