How to Make a Water Elevator in Minecraft?
In order to start building, you’ll need an Iron Bucket that can be filled with water, your choice of building blocks, one soul sand block, and two wooden signs of any kind. Three Iron Bars are all that is needed to make an Iron Bucket. Collect water source blocks from an ocean or river when you’re building them.
The Nether is a great place to find Soul Sand and Magma Cube, but be prepared by bringing armor or potions. The Nether is dangerous. As for the building blocks, we prefer Glass Blocks because they look cooler, but as long as you have enough of any block to build a wall, it doesn’t matter.
Build a column with your building blocks to get things going. Only an open space should be built around a single block. Your Soul Sand should be placed in the middle of your column, one block below the surface.
Two Wooden Signs should be placed on either side of a path that is two blocks high and leads to the Soul Sand. These will prevent water from escaping the elevator while still allowing you to pass through them.
Place water in the open space at the top of your elevator and watch it flow down to the Soul Sand. If you don’t have a water source block in every space in the elevator, this won’t work. Water with bubbles rising upward is an indication that you’ve done it correctly.
You can now enter and the water will rush you to the top, but you won’t drown because of the bubbles flowing alongside you, as stated at the outset of the guide. You can now step inside.
As soon as you can ascend, it’s time to create a new column to descend. Put the Magma Block in place of the Soul Sand at the bottom of the screen, then follow the same steps as before. The Magma will be engulfed in bubbles if you have done it correctly.
Make sure you don’t get too close to the Magma Block while you’re in Survival mode. When you exit the elevator, take a few minutes to get your bearings and get your body back in shape.
Avoid getting stuck on the block, as you can’t swim up against the current that is flowing down towards you. A Magma Block isn’t required at the bottom; any block will do, but doing so will remove the fast downward flow and the bubbles that provide you with air.
