How to Enable 2FA in Fortnite

The Fortnite two-factor authentication system adds an extra layer between you and hackers, which is important. It’s like a lock on the door where all your in-game belongings are kept, and if you’ve been playing for a while – unlocking rewards and purchasing skins – you don’t want to make it easy for thieves to steal your account.

The two-factor authentication aspect of Fortnite 2FA means you’ll have to log in twice. Instead of using a single password to gain access to the game, which could be guessed, hacked, or exposed in a data breach, a password and code are used. The game also sends you a code to enter when you first sign in. The password is useless without the code, which protects your account from any risk by allowing you to choose where the code is sent, preventing random logins.

This not only makes your account more secure and protects all of your hard-earned gear, but it also grants you access to the exclusive Boogie Down emote, which you can only get if you enable Fortnite two-factor authentication. 2FA will also get you 50 armory slots, 10 backpack slots, and one Legendary Troll Stash Llama if you’re also playing Save the World.

It’s really simple to use Fortnite two-factor authentication to protect your Fortnite account, so here’s how to enable Fortnite 2FA and protect everything you own.
