How to Fast Travel in New World

If you’re looking for a quick way to get around the New World, this guide will help you out. Because there are no mounts in Aeternum—yes, there is an in-game lore reason for this—you may be wondering how to get around.

Fortunately, there is a fast travel transportation system in New World, but it is not as simple as it appears. To begin, you must first visit the location in order to activate it.

The numerous quests will require you to travel far and wide, so let’s get down to business and see how you can get around in Aeternum using New World fast travel.

The only way to become acquainted with Aeternum is to walk around the map. While out and about, you’ll come across a variety of quests as well as fast travel shrines.

Because fast travel shrines aren’t marked on the map until you interact with them, it’s not obvious where they are, but luckily, the maps below show you where they are.

You’ll notice a beam that reaches the sky as you get closer to them, allowing you to pinpoint their location. The beam is red for shrines that have yet to be discovered, and pale blue for shrines that you have already visited.

You can fast travel to settlements you’ve previously visited in addition to shrines. The Recall to Inn function can also be used to return to the last inn you visited.

Because the Recall to Inn function has an hour-long cooldown, use it only if you’re certain you want to go to that specific location. Rather than wasting resources on fast travel, it’s better to join your friends in a specific location you’ve all visited before.

The disadvantage is that you can only be registered to one inn at a time, so you won’t be able to choose from a list of inns.

Fast travel, however, comes at a price—Azoth. Completing quests will earn you this blue resource. The amount of Azoth you’ll need to fast travel is determined by the location’s base cost, the distance cost (the further you travel, the more Azoth you’ll need), and the encumbrance cost (which accounts for the amount of gear you’re carrying).

Joining a New World faction or a Company can get you fast travel discounts, and if your faction controls the area, you might get an even bigger discount.

Well, that’s all we have about fast travel in New World. We hope this guide helped you.
