How to Turn Off Crossplay on Xbox?

Many players are becoming increasingly frustrated with the inability to opt-out of crossplay in new games, as evidenced by the recent releases of Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite.

In FPS gaming, the mouse and keyboard option is significantly more accurate than a controller, giving skilled PC players an unfair advantage.

Crossplay with PC in Halo Infinite has resulted in more cheating/hacking affecting Xbox players. Many players have been looking for a way to turn off crossplay as a result of these two issues, and thankfully, Xbox has one.

  • Go to Settings > Account > Privacy & Online Safety inside your profile.
  • Now select Xbox privacy.
  • Select Custom View Details and Customize.
  • After that, select Communication & Multiplayer.
  • Finally, go to “You can join cross-network play” and change it from Allow to Block.

This is a system-wide setting that prevents any game from allowing crossplay. As a result, if you want to play with your friends on PS4 or PC in the future, you’ll have to change the setting back to Allow.

Well, that’s all we have here about how you can turn off crossplay in Xbox. We hope this guide helped you.
