How to Ride Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Wide open areas are available for players to explore in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and you can ride certain Pokémon to get around faster and reach new areas. All you have to do to unlock Pokémon riding is progress through the main story. Wyrdeer, your first mount, will be given to you early in the game. You can summon Wyrdeer at any time by pressing the Plus button.

Wyrdeer is a very useful ally because it can sprint and jump much faster than you can. While mounted, you can dash through the Obsidian Fieldlands and other areas, avoiding wild Pokemon.

You will receive additional partner Pokémon later in the game that you can ride. Simply press left and right on the D-Pad to select a different mount when switching between rideable Pokemon.

At any time, a symbol representing your currently selected mount can be found in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Which Pokémon Can You Ride?

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can ride five different Pokemon. All of them are obtained by progressing through the main story, so you’ll get them all as you play the game normally. Here are the game’s five mounts:

  • Wyrdeer
  • Basulegion
  • Ursaluna
  • Sneasler
  • Hisuian Braviary

Each of the five mounts serves a different purpose. The basic mount, the Wyrdeer, allows you to move around much more quickly.

Ursaluna can be used to locate hidden treasure, while Basculegion can be used to surf across water.

You can fly through the sky with Hisuian Braviary, and you can climb steep mountains with Sneasler. You don’t have to keep them in your party to use them because they’re all accessible at all times.
