Pastures can only hold so much, and you’ll need to mass release in Pokémon Legends Arceus at some point. Unless you’re hoarding Pokémon, that time is a little later in the game.
Even though it’s difficult to let go of your captured animals, there’s a good reason to do so once they’re strong enough.
How to Unlock Mass Release in Pokémon Legends Arceus?
Grasslands are where all captured Pokémon that aren’t in your party live. You can choose multiple Pokémon and move them around the various pastures – Pokémon Legends’ version of the traditional boxes – but you can only release one at a time.
When you’ve filled the fourth pasture, talk to Marie, the woman who looks after them, and she’ll let you release multiple Pokémon at once.
Unlike other Pokémon games, Legends: Arceus focuses on capturing Pokémon rather than fighting other trainers. You’ll find yourself tasked with capturing multiples of the same Pokémon as you travel through the lands.
You’ll hand over the Pokémon you captured as you report your findings to the professor (who are not part of your party). They’ll then be transported to Jubilife Village’s pastures.
These pastures function similarly to the PC boxes in previous games, storing any Pokémon that aren’t currently in your party. In contrast to other games, you’ll likely find multiples of the same Pokémon in your pastures, as some PokéDex entries require you to catch upwards of 25 of the same type to complete the entry.
As a result, you’ll find yourself having to release unwanted Pokémon into the wild. When swapping Pokémon out of your party, you can, of course, do this one by one.
Once you’ve filled up four of your pasture’s “boxes,” you’ll be able to release multiple Pokémon at once. To do so, return to Jubilife Village’s pastures and speak with the main NPC standing outside of them.
When you click “X” in the pastures menu, you’ll be able to select multiple Pokémon from the boxes. After that, you’ll be able to release all of the Pokémon you’ve chosen all at once.
Should You Release Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus?
Yes, without a doubt. Aside from the evolution tasks, research tasks require you to catch dozens of the same Pokémon species, and there’s no reason to keep that many. Because Legends lacks a breeding system, these extra Pokémon are merely taking up space.
You should get a Grit item when you release them. These increase Effort Levels, which buff the stat to which they’re attached. It appears that the item you get and your chances of getting it are determined by the Pokémon’s level, or that there is some element of chance involved.
Some releases simply disappear into the sunset without providing me with anything in return. Even so, it’s one of the few ways to get Grit items, so it’s worth a shot.
Well, that’s all we have here about how you can mass release Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus. We hope this guide helped you.
