Sifu, which is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, is a challenging game. You must not only keep track of your health, age, and death count, but you must also keep track of your Structure.
The structure is, in a sense, your equilibrium. To avoid being overwhelmed by your enemies, keep track of how many hits you’re taking while blocking, how hard you’re getting hit, and more.
As you continue to deplete your enemy’s health and Structure bars, you may notice that you’ve reached the red zone, and one more hit will knock you out.

How Does Structure Work in Sifu?
Sifu’s combat is quick, fluid, and unforgiving at times. You might come up against a new type of enemy that you haven’t seen before, and you’d be surprised to learn that their attack patterns can change.
To absorb some hits and learn their attacks, hold down the standard Block button (L1 on PS5, PS4). You’ll notice, however, that a new bar at the bottom of your screen is rapidly filling up.
This is the Structure bar, which acts as a sort of shield. You can take a few hits without losing health, giving you the opportunity to learn what kinds of attacks your opponent will use against you. However, after 4 to 6 hits, your Structure bar will turn red, and one more hit will knock you out, leaving you completely vulnerable to enemy attacks.
Dodging your opponent’s attacks is the fastest and most efficient way to reduce your Structure bar to zero. You can reduce a large portion of your Structure gauge by properly dodging their powerful high and low attacks, allowing you to take more hits.
If you’re not sure how to dodge properly, getting some distance between you and your opponents is a good idea; by pressing the Rush button (R2 on PS5, PS4), you’ll be able to dash away quickly, giving you some breathing room. This may be more effective in a one-on-one battle, as you may still be pursued by groups of enemies.
