How to get Dark Impulse Trinkets in Darkest Dungeon 2

You can find powerful Cultist Trinkets from time to time in Darkest Dungeon 2. These buffs are stronger than most other items you’ll find, but they’ll need a boost from another item. In Darkest Dungeon 2, here’s how to get Dark Impulse Trinkets, which buff Cultist items.

Talking about the game, Darkest Dungeon II is a roguelike game about the damned going on a road trip. Form a group, outfit your stagecoach, and set out across a decaying landscape in a last-ditch effort to avoid the apocalypse. However, the greatest threats you face may come from within.

Completing Cultist Encounters in The Sprawl is the most common way to obtain Cultist Trinkets and Dark Impulse Trinkets in Darkest Dungeon 2. Evangelists and Cherubs are the most common opponents, and you must be wary of the blindness status effect.

These drops can also be found near the exit to the next Inn in Guardian Encounters. The high-end rewards, however, require you to complete all three battles. Similarly, you may only receive a Cultist Trinket or a Dark Impulse Trinket at times, but not both.

If you truly want to ensure that your team gets both of these items, you should fight in Darkness/Black As Pitch battles. These only happen when your Stagecoach’s Flame is at zero.

While driving around a zone, the Flame will dwindle from a maximum value of 100 to zero. It can also be reduced by making certain decisions, such as refusing to help villagers or fleeing potential fights.

When it reaches zero, a battle begins. You’re up against Evangelist and Cherub mobs as usual. The main difference now is that total darkness grants them benefits. Even if the characters aren’t blind, they’re going to be more difficult to hit.

In Darkest Dungeon 2, if you win this fight, you’ll receive both a Cultist Trinket and a Dark Impulse Trinket. To activate a powerful boost, equip both of these on a character. Having +40 percent attack, +40 percent HP, or +7 speed are examples.

Remember that two items must be worn to gain their effects, so you won’t be able to use a Cultist Trinket and character-specific gear at the same time.

Finally, we should point out that in the original game, the Darkness battle was fought against the Shambler. However, you can only see that opponent now if you go to Academic Study locations on a map.

Well, that’s all we have for you about getting Dark Impulse Trinkets in Darkest Dungeon 2. We hope this guide helps you.
